Today i got really scared. i'm talking the kind of scared that produces adrenaline that ultimately makes you feel like you're going to throw up.
I was watching Lucie today. random turn of events included an aunt's visit. long story short, the visiting aunt disappears with the baby. i. was. freaking.
it turns out she had just gone across the street to see a friend but i truly have NO CLUE what would possess a person to not take two seconds to let me know. i really thought i would throw up b/c i got so scared.
how can people have children of their own and just let them go out into the world?? lots of faith and knowing we're not in control, i guess. but really.... HOW?
here's to you, parents. today was further proof that i needn't rush into marriage/babies ANY time soon. too risky!
(kidding.... kind of. maybe a little...)

yeah, what Kristin said -- double! I still remember you two sitting under the tiny palm tree in Florida staring longingly at the full size, unprotected swimming pool feet from our house! You were inside, then you weren't. Amazing. Anywho, we had put the fear of all that is holy in you about the water and you obeyed. Still scary, even when I think back. Oh, and "aunt-smacking" is just a misdemeanor.
