ok, so i'm sorry for the delay, everyone! Its just hard to follow up stories that involve feces, ya know? deep down, we're all a little bit of an 8 year old, right? i know i am!
So- its not that so much has happened in the last week since i wrote... its more so the opposite. sure, there were some notable moments. like the time yesterday when this jumped out at me while using the restroom. i yelped and then ran to the other end of the house to get my fearless roommate to come handle the killing. good thing. it jumped like an olympic track star. who knew spider crickets were real insects?!
hmmm.... what else? oh- lots of birthdays. LOTS. what's the deal? i mean, Facebook complicates it all because i get the "heads up" that someones birthday is approaching. i can't very well ignore it. AND it just so happens that i love birthdays and usually love to celebrate them (a gift from my mom and dad who, to this day, dominate birthdays like no other i have ever seen. it was a great childhood!), so yet again, i get drawn in. to birthday land. which usually involves making a cake because its my thing. i love making them. here are two i have fashioned. obviously, Duff (from Ace of Cakes) isn't going to be beating down my door any time soon, but i'm proud.
Where were we? ah, yes.... the seeming monotony of a week gone by in springtime 08. Does anyone else feel like this year is flying by even faster than 07? good. me too.
Body for Life is going well! With the exception of a few contraband pistachios today, i have done very well sticking to the minutia of the eating plan. it is going well. i feel great and am turning into something of a gym rat! i love it! you know.. the smiles from the staff that realize you mean business. very gratifying! now, if i could only figure out how to make french fries nonfat and fiber rich.
OH! how have we not discussed this yet??? Carly leaving American Idol! Shocking!!!! i was completely thrown off by this turn of events. i totally anticipated brooke's departure and was, therefore, undone by America's voting! Carly will win in the long run, though. she'll have a career for sure. She's completely awesome and i wish her the best! (she may read, you never know! if you do, carly, will you get me Simon's autograph?)
It seems that is all i have to offer you regarding a week's activities. Hopefully i will bring my "A game" soon regaling tales of splendor from watching this year's marathon instead of running it!!!! yippie!!
