also

OH, and I forgot to mention...

I plan to have a really exciting month before turning thirty. Each day from August 9th until September 7th will stretch my limits of fun and adventure (ok....at least fun) and ramp up to the start of the best decade of my life!

Plan to check in for my "30 til 30" and enjoy the ride. :)

hugs.

(of late)

NOT only did I:

- Go to Columbia and have the BEST TIME celebrating Andrew and Kelsey Mathias
- See Kristin and Chad's new *amazing* house!
- Eat some great food (Publick House, Mucho Margarita, Gourmet Shop, etc)
- Get some quality time with peeps I love (mom and dad, even!)

BUT I also:
- Drove nearly 15 hours in a weekend
- Got hoarse from singing each of those 15 hours
- (perhaps the most disturbing) discovered a Miley Cyrus song that I... LOVE. I know, OK?

Sheesh!

Pictures to follow. Just wanted to send out a flare that I'm alive and well.

Highs and Lows

Remember at camp (or my house now) when you'd go around the circle and discuss the highs and lows of your day? I think Sarah June introduced me to this tradish. I love it! The best days are the ones when I can't think of a low.

Lately, its been like a roller coaster of highs and lows. In good and not-so-fab ways. Lately- great! :)

Here's my highs and lows of the weekend:

HIGH
- Movie night at Belcourt with my faves...even if it did make me wanna be a veg. (Food, Inc.)
- falling asleep sitting up on the couch
- skateboarding at Centennial park (in my new-to-me Vans)
- lazy morning with Chelsea (complete with Chick-fil-a... duh)
- Watching "Friday Night Lights" episodes... again.
- Cookout on Mildred
- DANCING in the park!!! What fun! It was cha-cha night.
- Games that had me rolling in laughter
- Not getting out of bed on Sunday until 1pm
- MY ROOMATES!
- dinner with Meg after church
- "Mad Men"
- Clean sheets on my bed
- Waking up naturally after plenty of sleep... on a Monday morning!

Low
- that it can't keep going! :)

Here's to Monday, funny dreams, roaring laughter, great food, soul friends and just plain fun!

I am told she was able to walk yesterday, so hopefully that is the first of some joy in the midst of total tragedy.

Shake it Off

No, that title isn't *only* because I'm listening to Mariah Carey singing those words.

Its been a bear of a week or so, friends.

There have been great highlights (mom and dad's visit, Kristin and Chad being HOME owners, booking some flights for excursions later this summer, celebrating with friends who have just become married as well as some who have become parents or who have *just* found out they will!) but ya'll..... some serious lows too. An old friend encountering losing children (unbearable), stress on lots of levels (that I do not channel well... or at all) and just this general ick feeling that I couldn't shake. Was it also the rain? I just don't know. I can stop thinking of Crystal and what she's going through having lost her two babies in a car accident. Honestly, that is when its hard to believe God has a plan. Her heartbreak was the backdrop for my week and I feel as though I have just emerged today.

I'm A.D.D., so here's a jump.

I did a spin class tonight that was so hard, I threw up a little in my mouth... seriously. It was so gross. I joke about doing that.. but have not experienced it in a long time. Sara and I dominated it and then rewarded ourselves with some din din at Whole Foods afterwards. Did the ahi tuna sashimi undo my labors? No one knows.

This week leads into the wedding of my beloved former roomie Adrienne!! She and Bill will tie the knot on Saturday and I'm just so excited! They got the marriage license this morning, so I guess its offish. They're too cute for words and will make some of the most beautiful children this world has ever seen. I can't wait to celebrate them!

Random thought: Do you ever wish you could jump in to a life for a month and then return to yours afterwards? Today I had the distinct wish (like... for a genie) that I could be a professional dancer in NYC for one month. Nuts or distracted?
